The Event
What is
804 Hacks?
A one-day hackathon where middle and high school students come together to build, experiment, and ship. Open to all skill levels — whether you’ve coded for years or are just starting out.
This year has a purpose, too. Virginia holds more data centers than anywhere else on Earth. That’s amazing, but it takes a real toll on our environment. So we’re asking students to build something that gives back: apps, tools, and hardware that help our planet.
Free to use any AI tools. Take breaks for workshops and food!
Student builders from across the Greater Richmond Region who love coding and designing
Top projects earn recognition, prizes, and bragging rights across all skill levels.
